Story
My mum was diagnosed with Alopecia Universalis - meaning she lost all her hair on her body and was unlikey to get it back. The exact cause of this disease is unknown but effects many adults and children. When my mum had her wig made my hair was not long enough to donate so I decided to keep growing it and donate it when it was long enough so that someone else who has no hair has the chance of getting a wig made of real hair. However these wigs are expensive to get made and many families struggle to pay for one. Please support me by donating some money towards the cost of the wig that my hair will turn into. I am getting my hair cut today at midday.

(AAAF), is established to be the national Australia body supporting research to find a cure or acceptable treatment for all forms of Alopecia Areata, support those with the disease and their families, and inform the public about all forms of Alopecia Areata.
Our Service philosophy is to give each person the best chance of managing their alopecia journey positively, the whole family and each individual needs to be supported to manage their unique experience.
