REACH exists to serve the Youth of the Sutherland Shire...

REACH 2012 Funds raised from REACH go directly towards providing services for the youth of the Sutherland Shire. Every Friday night youth congregate and are positively impacted by the youth programs at SHIRELIVE. Many of these youth return midweek for small group mentoring with one of the youth leaders. Each year hundreds of young people are personally mentored and supported though youth issues ranging from bullying and truancy to bulimia, abuse and suicidal thoughts. The money raised through REACH ensures that this invaluable service continues to exist and expand in our local community.

REACH is best known in the local community for the Saturday of Service, in which over 300 youth and adult volunteers commit the day to conducting free community work. In the lead up to the Saturday these volunteers also fundraise for the youth work of SHIRELIVE. These fundraising efforts culminate in a spectacular REACH Gala night, which features an art auction with artworks by the local youth.

Saturday April 28th 2012  will see over 300 volunteers hit the local streets to lend a helping hand in the local community. Projects include renovating and gardening at schools and youth hostels, graffiti removal and assisting individuals in the community who are in need. Last year over 2000 hours of community service were performed.
