Melbourne City Wrestling: Fight For A Cause
Melbourne City Wrestling: Fight For A Cause
Story
October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and co-inciding with that, we are proud to announce that we will be presenting a very special one-off event, with all the profits going towards Breast Cancer Network Australia.
This is an issue that has hit close to home for several members of Melbourne City Wrestling's talent, staff and fans, and with that in mind, we will be hosting this event along with our friends from NHB Girls as we present 'Fight For A Cause', which is not only our first live event in Melbourne's south east, but also our first ever all women's wrestling event, on Sunday November 23rd!
On the night, we will be crowning the inaugural winner of the "Vera & Jenny Memorial Cup" which is named after two members of Melbourne City Wrestling's extended family, who are no longer with us as a result of this cruel disease. Several qualifying matches will take place earlier on the show, with the winners of those bouts competing in a finals match in the main event. This is going to be a tournament not to be missed, and will be done to honour two mothers who have both had their lives tragically cut short.
Ticket sales are now online, and our aim is to see as many of our loyal fans attending this special event as possible as we help to raise money for those in our community who have been left broken by this terrible disease.
However, if you are unable to attend the event, but still wish to show your support. Any donation made to the BCNA via this site, no matter how big or small is much appreciated by the team here at MCW!
