Story
My brother Justin de Morton was born with Spina Bifida and despite the doctors informing our parents that he would not live for even a year, he is still with us over 30 years later going strong!!! The Spina Bifida Foundation Victoria is an amazing charity that allows people living with Spina Bifida to have access to equipment, services and activities that would be impossible for some of their memebers without their support. I have decided to dedicate my Ironman Triathlon (Swim 3.8km, Bike 180km & Run 42.195km) on May 5th 2013 in Port Macquarie to the Spina Bifida Foundation Victoria. It is a charity close to my heart and one that is worth supporting.

Spina Bifida Foundation Victoria
Spina Bifida Foundation Victoria (SBFV) helps people living with spina bifida to lead full, active and independent lives. We do this by providing family camps, ski trips, sailing days, social events, targeted Information sessions and workshops to people with spina bifida and their families. We also advocate for people with spina bifida to government, social services and the community. SBFV does not receive any government funding, and so the ability to continue our work relies on generous donations from the community and philanthropic grants.
