The Girls Project
The Girls Project
Story
Hi there!
BeyondWater is fundraising to keep girls in school by giving them access to free sanitary products. For many girls across East Africa they spend 3 months out of school because it's 'that time of the month'.
$5 will enable a girl to receive a packet of sanitary products, $60 will give it to her for a year. In addition, the girls will be attending a girls youth forum put on just for them so that they can learn about looking after themselves and making the best life choices for them.
Our focus will be on teenage girls from the Kibera Slum in Nairobi, Kenya who are attending school and will commit to the program. In 2016 we plan to take the program to other needy areas as well.
You can join us in bringing about positive change by donating today.
Thank you on behalf of the young women we are working with.
Beyond Water (Global Development Group - J380)
Each day 5,000 children die because of waterborne diseases. BeyondWater works with local communities to provide tanks, guttering, deep bore wells, latrines and hand washing programs.
These are provided through schools, medical facilities, orphanages and remote communities.
Proud to partner with Global Development Group (ABN: 57 102 400 993), an Australian NGO approved by the Minister for Foreign Affairs.
Gifts over $2 with a preference for this approved development project are tax deductible, receipts issued by Go Fundraise on behalf of GDG. Excess funds may be directed to another approved activity. Please note, no non-development (evangelistic, political or welfare) activities are a part of, or funded by, GDG projects. For more information please visit www.gdg.org.au
