Hi Everyone
As most of you know, I lost one of my best friends to suicide in June, 2013. There isn’t a day that goes by I don’t think about him and ways to honor his memory.
We don’t hear about it often, but suicide is a serious social issue in Australia today and claims more lives than skin cancer each year.
In an effort to raise some much needed funds for Suicide Prevention Australia (SPA), I am going to cycle from Melbourne to Byron Bay in December. The ride will kick off on the 16th of December – I will cycle through central Victoria and up the coast of New South Wales where I will finish in Byron Bay on the 31st. The ride will be across two weeks and is just over 1,850kms.
I am hoping to raise $100,000 upon completion of the ride. Every cent will be donated to Suicide Prevention Australia and is completely tax deductible.
