50km Spring Cycle for NSW Thal Society
50km Spring Cycle for NSW Thal Society
Story
WE DID IT :-) 4 hours of cycling through the winds to raise funds for the NSW Thalassaemia Society. We're still fundraising. Thank you to everyone who has already sponsored us.
2 haematology nurses from Prince of Wales Hospital & 1 from Sydney Childrens Hospital (Emily, Natalie and Grainne) will be riding the Sydney Morning Herald Spring Cycle 50km bike ride on Sunday 27th September in support of the NSW Thalssaemia Society.
The NSW Thalassaemia Society is a not for profit organisation that provides compassionate support to patients and families with genetic haemoglobin disorders such as thalassaemia, sickle cell anaemia, black fan diamond etc. Raising awareness of these disorders in the community is paramount in protecting future generations, and preventing them from having a lifetime of blood transfusions, which can result in numerous complications and have significant consequences on their health, quality of life and life expectancy.
By sponsoring and supporting us to complete this ride you will be able to help the NSW Thalassaemia Society continue their amazing work.
Apologies for the REALLY short notice! If you are thinking of donating please dig deep into those pockets, click on the Donate Now link and help raise as much as we can.
The smallest contribution will make the biggest difference.
Don't forget, any donations over $20 can be included in next years tax claim ;-)
Thank you, thank you, thank you (that's one each!)
