Aliya's Cutting Her Hair

Story

I have decided to cut my hair and donate it so that it can be made into a wig for a child with alopecia (medical hair loss). I am also fundraising for the Australian Alopecia Areata Foundation (AAAF) so that they can continue to provide support for children with alopecia. Every little bit helps:

  • $5 can go towards providing class room discussions at schools
  • $25 can go towards educating someone just diagnosed about this disease and linking them into a community network
  • $50 can aid in creating resources to help a child educate a potential bully
  • $400 can assist with providing the funds to help purchase that perfect hair – Wigs for kids Program
  • $500 can help in allowing a researcher to go one step further towards looking for that missing link

Donations over $2 are tax deductible.

(AAAF), is established to be the national Australia body supporting research to find a cure or acceptable treatment for all forms of Alopecia Areata, support those with the disease and their families, and inform the public about all forms of Alopecia Areata.
 
Our Service philosophy is to give each person the best chance of managing their alopecia journey positively, the whole family and each individual needs to be supported to manage their unique experience. By reducing the financial and emotional stress and enabling children, young people, adults and their support networks to develop their strengths and skills, AAAF assists the whole family to achieve that positive journey.
