Hey Facebook Bromo Sapiens,
Over the next year I’ll be raising money for Afrika Tikkun, to help children in South Africa suffering from famine, poverty and illness.
Every child deserves a fair start in life; however South Africa’s township children are highly disadvantaged due to lack of food, educational resources and adequate healthcare.
South Africa’s disadvantaged children face extraordinary challenges in everyday life in the order to simply survive. Often, South African families in low socioeconomic areas struggle to simply provide food and a place to sleep for their families. This often results in illness and an increase in desperate acts of criminal activity.
In a country wracked by HIV/Aids and unemployment, one of the results is children with empty stomachs and sick caregivers. This hinders a child’s ability to develop in to a contributing citizen. This results in a domino effect that continuously results in generations effected by poverty, illness and social dysfunction….not cool bros.
The essentials that Afrika Tikkun provides address the educational, health and social needs of children as they are growing and developing, giving them the opportunity to grow into well-rounded adults who are equipped to positively contribute to society.
By contributing to this charity you will not only be helping children in dire need, you will be helping to develop a culture of self-sustainability rather than one of dependency on non-profit services.

Afrika Tikkun (Global Development Group - J586)
One of only 4 organisations that Nelson Mandela awarded his partronage to - and the only one in Australia - Afrika Tikkun is dedicated to assisting children affected by extreme poverty in South Africa's townships, survive and thrive.
Afrika Tikkun is a non-government organisation (NGO) that was founded in 1994 to offer resources, training and support to children and their families in South Africa’s poorest communities. Support is particularly focused on orphaned and vulnerable children and families affected by HIV/AIDS. Afrika Tikkun's work centres on sustainable community development, including the provision of food and school fees; care, education and training in specially built community centres and outreach facilities - as well as caring for the very sick in their homes.
