Story
Hi friends!
In September CCSVI Australia are hosting various 'Come to My House' events to raise funds for important research for Multiple Sclerosis. The trial underway at The Alfred Hospital in Melbourne involves studying and treating impaired veins (referred to as Chronic Cerebrospinal Venous Insufficiency, CCSVI) in the neck of people living with MS.
This treatment has helped several hundred Australians, including me, find relief from MS symptoms. We hope better understanding of CCSVI can help unlock a cure for Multiple Sclerosis.
Our family is hosting a meal on 6th September a a fundraiser. Even if you are not able to come but you wish to donate, you can do so here.
Thanks for your kindness and support.
Kerri
MS Hope (CCSVI Australia Inc)
Chronic Cerebrospinal Venous Insufficiency (CCSVI) is a condition where blood flow in the brain and spine is impaired due to a blockage in one or more of the major veins. CCSVI is implicated in a number of neurodegenerative conditions including Multiple Sclerosis.
Whilst treating CCSVI is not a cure for MS, treating blocked veins can bring real symptomatic improvements. There is great potential that research could unlock further understanding of Multiple Sclerosis as a whole.
