Story
My school, Saint Patrick’s College Ballarat, is a school in the Edmund Rice tradition. We as a community proudly support the not for profit organisation Edmund Rice Camps. These camps commit to the formation of a dynamic and supportive community. Edmund Rice Camps invite and challenge volunteers to act as positive role models. These opportunities are provided for young people and families who are marginalised or disadvantaged in society. Our school partakes in an annual fundraising event within the school, but I wish to go beyond our School community to unite all people in supporting such a wonderful organisation that does so much for so many people every year. With a huge donation it means that Edmund Rice Camps can support more people and can provide more facilities and equipment for those who need it most. If you are willing to donate any donations will be appreciated, these donations can go a long way for someone in need.

Edmund Rice Camps Inc
Edmund Rice Camps is a not for profit charity based in Melbourne.
We connect young volunteers (or young at heart!), to kids and families living in disadvantaged situations. We use residential camps and recreational activities to create opportunities for role modeling positive behavior and to build self-confidence. In 2015 we will run 12 camps for different groups including: Asylum Seekers living in Community Detention, Refugees, Migrants, Indigenous groups and low-socio economic families.
With a 1:1 ratio, kids and volunteers come together to have fun, relax, learn from each other and the have the holiday experience all kids deserve. Visit our website www.ercvic.com.
