Story
We’re running a Sleepout on our Oval at school because we believe it’s important to step outside our comfort zones and stand in solidarity with young people who don’t have the security and support we often take for granted. At Cranbrook, we are incredibly fortunate. We have safe homes, access to quality education, and strong networks around us. But for tens of thousands of young Australians, that’s not the reality. By sleeping out, raising awareness, and fundraising for Youth Off The Streets, we hope to make a real difference while challenging our peers to reflect on the impact of homelessness and how we can help drive change together.
Youth Off The Streets
Youth Off The Streets is a not-for-profit youth services organisation that supports 12-24-year-olds experiencing or at risk of homelessness and complex disadvantage. We walk alongside each young person as we seek to understand their needs and goals, and we offer the safety, support and education that helps them to realise their potential. Youth Off The Streets is an inclusive, community-focussed organisation with a unique service model that is trauma-informed and culturally responsive
