Story
Hey folks,
All it took was a short visit to a local charity in Westlake called Miraa House and I was hooked and ready to put my walking shoes on to start fundraising and making a difference for the women at Miraa House who are living with an intellectual disability.
Miraa House is a day program, where women with an intellectual disability learn every day life skills to help them become more independent both at home and in the community.
The program includes domestic skills, cooking preparation, health and wellbeing, styling up, horticulture, photography, sewing, office skills, music and more! Many of these programs have been helped financially through grants, fundraising, donations and the corporate sector in the local area. I need to be part of this!!
Inspired by the amazing ladies at Miraa House, I will put on my walking boots and head off for a 95km walk on the Brisbane Valley Rail Trail. Another 8 fabulous women will be joining me on various sections of the walk. As I use my feet for this fundraiser, I ask that you use your hands to dig deep into your pockets and please make a donation to my fundraising page towards this worthy cause. Together we will make a difference.
Walk to take place over two days the 6-7th July 2019.
Donations made through this platform are secure and will be remitted directly through to my charity of choice.
Thanks so much for your support!
Much love
Donna Daisy
