Diamond Valley Young Vinnies

Diamond Valley Young Vinnies (part of the charity St Vincent de Paul Society) are a group of dedicated people, committed to making a difference in our society by giving hope to those we assist.  We are active in the Western suburbs, Banyule, Darebin and Nillumbik regions and the types of works we do include running and organising child related activities, home visitations, soup vans, fundraising and advocacy for those most vulnerable in our society.   

Our Cause

The St Vincent de Paul Society is currently assisting asylum seeker and refugee families who are heavily reliant on help from our local communities. The type of assistance we provide include food and financial assistance, emergency accommodation and rental support, education assistance and for asylum seekers, advocating to the Government on their behalf.  As you know, seeking asylum or being a refugee in Australia poses a lot of challenges and without the support of charities like St Vincent de Paul Society, these families are at risk of homelessness and severe poverty, they are also often prone to poor mental health, language barriers and social isolation.

Please give generously and support our cause by making a safe and secure donation. 100% of funds raised will be donated to our local Vinnies Conference in Eltham who are providing assistance to asylum seeker and refugee families.
