Story
Hi there
For those who know me, I have aquired a strong connection with Mexico through my extensive travels over the last 20 years. Shorty I will be able to combine this with my passion to help others by volunteering at Mision Mexico, Tapachula, helping 40-50 children. Almost all of the children have expereinced an upbringing of extreme poverty and abuse. I am going there for 8 weeks to help make a difference to their lives.
I will be paying all my own costs and would appreciate your support in raising much needed funds for daily living.
A donation of $5 can supply fresh fruit and vegetables for a week.......which is as little as a daily coffee and $20 can supply for 1 month for 1 child.
Since it was established in 2001, Misión México has helped transform the lives of more than 250 children, giving them a much deserved second chance at life. All are regaining a sense of confidence and self respect having found Misión México.
Donations made through this platform are secure and will be remitted directly through to Mision Mexico.
I'm asking you to dig deep and support me in supporting this cause - Thank you so much for your donation.
Mexican Children's Development (Mision Mexico) (Global Development Group - J731N)
Misión México (J731N) is a Global Development Group (GDG) approved aid and development project and has come a long way since 2000, when Australian founders Pamela and Alan Skuse made a life-changing decision and built a haven bringing safety and love to hundreds of children and young adults in Tapachula, Mexico.
Today, the organisation has grown into three children and youth homes, a community outreach centre and a non-for-profit hotel and surf school. Together, they aim to break cycles of poverty, abuse and inequality; providing opportunities for every child and youth that they care for to succeed. Through long-term solutions like education, practical and emotional care, and community development, they provide tools and opportunities for children and youth to advance in every aspect of their lives, becoming the best that they can be.
Together they are Misión México Foundation!
