Hi there!

On Friday October 26, I will be joining a whole bunch of people to sleep rough for one night in an effort to help raise some much needed funds to keep the awesome Rough Edges running through 2019. 

But of course, this ain't about me, its about the guys and gals who have no home to go to. Day in, day out. So,

my goal is to raise $1000 for Rough Edges in Darlinghurst. What and who are Rough Edges? Roughies is a drop in centre for people who are disadvantaged, marginalised and experiencing issues of homelessness. In order to meet my fundraising goal, I'm asking some of my closest friends and family to sponsor me  - can you please help me reach my target for Rough Edges?"

I'm trying to make a difference and for a cause that's close to my heart, and any contribution you can share will be greatly appreciated, big or small.

There are 117k people currently experiencing issues of homelessness in Australia

17% of residents in Kings Cross/Darlinghurst/ Surry Hills live below the poverty line - the national average is 12%

It costs $24.50 to care for one patron per night at Rough Edges

Single women over 55 are the fasted growing group of people becoming homeless. The number of older women forced to couch surf in Australia has almost doubled in the past four years. Often domestic violence is the cause. Unfortunately, it is happening every day and sadly, is increasing.
