Story
It’s true, I have been selected to star on TV!
This scary but exciting project involves me undertaking a life changing adventure, whilst under the watchful eyes of an award-winning international film crew.
In July, I will be taken on an unknown ‘adventure’ to unknown locations over 1 week, to participate in challenging activities that will take me out of my comfort zone. I will NOT know what these activities are until the day.
As a gift from me for donating, Australian donors (and the general public) will have the pleasure of watching me undertake these ‘challenges’, on Channel 7 at the end of 2019 (equivalent to the BBC/ITV in the UK). For English donors, the program will be showcased online via several platforms... so you all get the chance to watch me squirm!
However, your donations are not purely for entertainment purposes. As part of the pre-filming process, I have committed to raising $10,000, much needed funds for the Prince of Wales Hospital Foundation.
And so I NEED YOUR SUPPORT.
Your generous donations will go towards ensuring the continued development of research, education, health promotion and special projects which provide integrated healthcare for patients of POWH. Donations will also fund ground breaking new equipment, technology and resources across all specialities such as Neurology, Cardiology, Mental Health and Oncology.
I know that you and I are likely to need care and treatment in Hospital one day...
I know it’s likely that you and I have already received care and treatment in Hospital...
I know that you and I have friends and family that have needed care and treatment in Hospital...
I know that you and I have friends and family that will need care and treatment in Hospital one day.
So I am doing this for me... for you... for our friends and family... and for the wider community... to MAKE A DIFFERNCE!
For all my Nurse, Midwife and Dr colleagues and friends, help me to help us to continue to do what we do and love everyday!
Please generously donate (large or small) to help me achieve my fundraising goals... every little helps.
THANK YOU SO MUCH for your donations!
...Surely watching me make a fool out of myself on TV will be money well spent!
Prince of Wales Hospital Foundation Limited
Ensuring tomorrow is better than today.
The Prince of Wales Hospital Foundation was established with the belief that in healthcare, tomorrow can always be better than today.
The Foundation exists because it was inspired by a hospital that was committed and focused on changing and improving the standard of healthcare. It was inspired by the pioneering work of doctors, nurses, researchers and supporting staff whose work was delivering real impact.
The Foundation wanted to give the hospital room to continue to do what it does best, save people’s lives. It was intent on ensuring the hospital continues its focus on world leading medical innovations, on ground-breaking research, and on the delivery of excellent patient care and services.
In our 19th year of operation, we have transformed our original mission to reflect the direction of the ever-evolving healthcare space. As the community benefits from a thriving healthcare service, we ensure we can add value and create solutions in partnership with the community, corporates and individuals, who align with our vision to support the delivery of the best healthcare solutions possible. We are forever thankful for the past and ongoing support of our supporter community and we could not achieve the outcomes we have, without them.
“The Foundation exists to give the hospital room to continue to do what it does best, save people’s lives.”
