DONATE HERE MACQUARIE COMMODITIES AND FINANCIAL MARKETS
Ok Macquarie CFM, pride is on the line here. It's time to show up your colleagues, other Macquarie Groups and all those cocky fifth grade students around the world on Mathletics, in the Fifth Grader Challenge 2016.
In a 60 second game of level 3 Live Mathletics, you are aiming to answer as many maths questions as possible, there is no limit on the number of games you can play, your only aim is to improve on your fastest score... and beat your colleagues while you are at it.
The competition will open online from 4:30pm, Wednesday 12 October and run for 48 hours. Two champion players selected internally from each group will also play off in a live battle event on Friday 14 October, at 5:00pm on Level 10, 50 Martin Place.
To get yourself started, click on your group below and donate a minimum of $A30. Provide your full name and email address, and 3P Learning will set you up with a Mathletics account. The two Macquarie groups with the highest donation totals before the live battle will also benefit from an additional ‘math genius’ competing for them, so be sure to get your colleagues involved as well. Plus all the money is going to some fantastic causes.
Funds raised go to UNICEF’s education programs in Zimbabwe and Special Olympics Australia. As part of Foundation Week’s special ‘2 for 1’ offer, funds raised by each Group for this event will be double matched (up to $5,000). Any Group fundraising above $5,000 will be matched in the usual way under Macquarie’s staff support policy.
UNICEF
UNICEF saves more children’s lives than any other humanitarian organisation, and is funded entirely by voluntary donations. UNICEF is the United Nations Children’s Fund and is on the ground in over 150 countries, helping children survive and thrive from early childhood through adolescence.
The world’s largest provider of vaccines for developing countries, UNICEF supports child health and nutrition, clean water and sanitation, quality basic education and the protection of children from violence, exploitation and HIV/AIDS. www.unicef.org.au
