Story
RECALIBRATING IN COVID TIMES.
We stare down another year severely impacted by COVID, with no chance of travel to Upper Mustang again this year. Whilst the need for support doesn't go anywhere, things have changed dramatically in the past year. For example, COVID has meant some children from Chosar are being kept at home, some have been stuck either in Upper Mustang or Pokhara, some are attending local schools, and three older girls have been sent to a monastery in South India. Some teachers had to remain in Pokhara, while others stayed up in Chosar. Understandably many parents are scared to let their children too far out of their sight. This situation has resulted in increased costs and less resources for the children we support on an annual basis. The school communities supported in Tsarang and Pokhara have managed to remain more in tact thankfully. With tourists unable to visit Upper Mustang and no local trade, families have been severely impacted and resources stretched to the limit.
I'd love you to join me again this year as we travel vicariously by donating to support children and families in Upper Mustang. In a world so restricted by a raging pandemic, we can help in a small but significant way by donating to make this remote part of the world a better place. This has to be a good thing.

The World Expeditions Foundation (WEF) is the not-for-profit entity of the World Expeditions Travel Group.

Incorporated on 21 September 2007, World Expeditions Foundation Ltd ABN 36 127 619 925 (WEF) operates as a not-for-profit partner of World Expeditions Travel Group Pty Ltd ABN 98 001 424 568. On 3 March 2014, WEF was registered by the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission.
The World Expeditions Foundation operates with a tight philosophy of ensuring that all donations are channelled in full to the projects. The board members all volunteer their time to operate the project, while the financial management is handled internally by the World Expeditions finance team. With this structure, there are no administration fees.
Donations are tax deductible for residents of Australia.
