Upper Mustang Hidden Tibetan Kingdom Pony Trek fundraising for remote communities.

Dear friends

In August 2017  I'm heading back to Upper Mustang with MEG HARLAND, JANE CLARK-MUNN AND IAN CLARK, and a few other like minded intrepid travellers. We're reaching out to you (many of whom supported me in 2014) to again raise funds for a community that does it tough. Our aim is to raise $2,500 to support a small monastic school in the remote village of Chosar as well as a few other communities along the way. One hundred percent of funds raised through the World Expeditions Foundation go to thse remote communities, and to improve the welfare of the children who attend the Chosar school.

The remote Tsosher (Chosar) Manjushree Monastic School, established in 2006, provides free education, accommodation, food and health services to its approximately 22 students. Most children are from deprived families living in extremely harsh conditions lacking in basics like medicine, food, water, power and education. In the wake of the recent earthquake, financial support is more needed than ever before.

MY PLEDGE We're trekking to  the wild Upper Mustang region, and in the process have the opportunity to raise funds for these communities and a school which provides free education and accommodation for 22 students.

As a further pledge I'm giving a prize of a 1kg bucket of my 100% raw Cool Climate Bundanoon honey  to the most generous donor.

We'll be crossing the mighty Kali Gandaki river numerous times, trekking over a number of high altitude passes up to 4,500 metres, and riding through countryside that is reminiscent of rural Tibet 1,000 years ago. Very little has changed in Upper Mustang and life is tough for many.
