Story
Player 2 Presents the Marathon for Starlight
I am a very privileged person of that there is no doubt. I have a wonderful wife, two great boys who are in perfect health, A job I enjoy and after hours I am lucky enough to run Player 2 and write about one of my great passions. But there are many people who just aren’t as lucky as I am and that is something I want to help with. I am in a position to help others so that is exactly what I plan to do. With that in mind, I am announcing the first (of what will hopefully be an annual tradition) Player 2 charity gaming marathon.
Come September 10 myself, along with Player 2 writers from all around the country, will be starting a 24-hour gaming marathon. We will be playing games, engaging in shenanigans and taking on challenges all in the name of raising money for The Starlight Foundation. As I am sure you all know the Starlight Foundation makes it its mission to bring a smile to those that need it most, sick and terminally ill children. We hope to raise $2000 for the Starlight Foundation and we can only do it with your help.
The whole marathon will be streamed live via Twitch and we will be having giveaways, competitions and taking challenges from the stream’s audience for the entirety of the Marathon. We will be joined by friends, family and children throughout the day, all turning up to support this great cause.
So make sure you mark September 10 in your calendar and get ready for what, with your help, will be a great day of fun and fundraising. Don’t forget to stay tuned to Player2.net.au for announcements of sponsors, prizes and event details as we get closer to the day.
