Hello!

I'm making a difference wanting to raise funds for a cause that's close to my heart. I would appreciate any contribution, big or small. Here is my story....

Six months ago, I was living in Dalby, a country town in QLD Australia, working an office job. I knew this was not my forever place, but didn't know where I wanted to be or what I wanted to do.... For quite some years (since my Father’s passing, I think) I have felt like I’m searching for something more, a purpose. Where we grow up and live, we are very blessed and lucky to have opportunities and choices on what we want to do and where we want to be.

I have always been interested in other countries and cultures and feel compassionate about supporting others.

It’s wonderful if you can give something back....

I always wanted to explore South East Asia one day and when I met Cindy from Hands Across The World, I had found a connection to Cambodia. I’m very thankful that Cindy helped me make my journey possible.

Now I am very excited for this journey, to get out of my comfort zone and do something I haven’t done before. I’m sure it will be life changing! I hope it will open my horizon and bring me closer to what I want to do afterwards.

I believe in Hands Across the World and ABCs and Rice - the organisations I am now supporting as I believe education and stability are so very important. These NGOs (Non-Governmental Organisation) are doing the most wonderful jobs in giving children an education, food, a possibility and a real chance in life. I will give as much support as I can and at the same time hoping to gain valuable experiences - I am willing to learn about myself and the things I don’t know anything about yet. I’m still undecided where my way is going afterwards but I am hopeful that this will shift something inside me.

I believe we have to support the people that are not as privileged as we are. We are all humans and if we all work together and help one another the world will be more pleasant to live in for everyone.
