NLT Heart

Story

I am writing to you today to ask for your support in a cause that is very close to my heart. I am fundraising for the Centenary Institute's Professor Chris Semsarian AM and the Agnes Ginges Centre for Molecular Cardiology. This centre is dedicated to finding new ways to prevent, diagnose and treat heart diseases that affect millions of people around the world.

Professor Chris Semsarian has been my cardiologist for the last 10 years. He is not only a brilliant doctor, but also a compassionate and caring person who has made a huge difference in my life along with his team. He was the one who diagnosed me with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, a condition that causes the heart muscle to become abnormally thick and can lead to sudden cardiac death. He also organised my open heart surgery, which saved my life when I was 28 years old.

Thanks to Professor Semsarian and his team, I am able to live a normal and healthy life today. But I know that not everyone is so lucky. That's why I want to help him and his colleagues at the Centenary Institute to continue their groundbreaking research on heart diseases. They are working on developing new tests, treatments and therapies that could save countless lives in the future.

But they need our help. Research is expensive and requires a lot of resources and equipment. That's why I am asking you to join me in supporting this amazing cause. Every dollar you donate will go directly to the Centenary Institute and will make a real difference in advancing the science of heart health.

Please, help me show my gratitude to Professor Semsarian and his team for all they have done for me and for many others. Help me give hope to those who are living with heart conditions or who are at risk of developing them. Help me make a positive impact on the world by supporting the Centenary Institute's Professor Chris Semsarian AM and the Agnes Ginges Centre for Molecular Cardiology.

I am thrilled to announce that once our fundraiser reaches its goal of $50,000 for the Agnes Ginges Centre for Molecular Cardiology, I will shave my head and donate my hair to make wigs for alopecia sufferers. Your contribution will help us make a difference in the lives of those affected by genetic heart disease.

Donations made through this platform are secure and will be remitted directly through to the Agnes Ginges Centre for Molecular Cariology.

Thank you for your generosity and kindness.
