Story
Hi there!
I'm making a difference and running for a cause that's close to my heart. I’d appreciate any contribution, big or small.
In early 2020 at the age of 15 my big sister Lauren started losing all of her hair due to an autoimmune condition called Alopecia Areata. By half way through the year she had lost all the hair on her head and most of the hair on her body too.
Wishing I could help somehow, I decided I would grow my hair to donate to Alopecia Australia for their “Wigs for Kids” program. Did you know, it takes 15 hair donations to make just 1 wig. Alopecia Australia ask for hair donations to be a minimum 36cm. I’m nearly there after almost 2 and a half years. Just a few cm to go.
I’m asking you to support and sponsor my donation and help this worthy cause. I will be announcing a cutting date when I get a little closer to the required length. Please share with your friends, family and colleagues.

(AAAF), is established to be the national Australia body supporting research to find a cure or acceptable treatment for all forms of Alopecia Areata, support those with the disease and their families, and inform the public about all forms of Alopecia Areata.
Our Service philosophy is to give each person the best chance of managing their alopecia journey positively, the whole family and each individual needs to be supported to manage their unique experience. By reducing the financial and emotional stress and enabling children, young people, adults and their support networks to develop their strengths and skills, AAAF assists the whole family to achieve that positive journey.
