Darlington Primary Kitchen Upgrade!
Story
With your help, the Team at Partek Construction & Interiors in conjunction with Kick Start for Kids aim to raise enough money to deliver a much needed upgrade of Kitchen and Appliances for Darlington Primary School!
Darlington Primary School provides a breakfast program run by a dedicated team of volunteers from Kick Start for Kids. The schools population includes 20% Aboriginal students, 10% Students with Disabilities, 3% of Students in Care, 47% of students with English as an Additional Language or Dialect (EALD) and approximately 40% of families eligible for School Card assistance. The program is open to the whole school many from disadvantaged backgrounds and families so everyone feels included.
The current kitchen (pictured below) is the old original kitchen and in desperate need of an upgrade and all the appliances urgently need replacing. The current fridge freezes milk and eggs, the rotating toaster doesn’t work and the stove/oven is broken & needs replacing and the list goes on!
Every little bit counts and all donations $2 and over are tax deductible.
Partek will oversee the project working alongside Maria Gianqiutto Interior Design who is kindly volunteering her time to help us develop a new user friendly design!
Any remaining funds from the upgrade will go directly to Kick Start for Kids, a not for profit organisation that supports over 350 South Australian Schools, providing around 50,000 breakfasts and 10,000 lunches per week with 600 volunteers.
We look forward to reaching our target and delivering a great kitchen for Darlington Primary School!
