We're making a difference - and we want your help! Help us spread the word about asbestos awareness At Burbank, we’re big on safety. We’re also big on raising awareness about health-related issues that impact our industry. This year, we’re focusing our efforts on a particular cause that’s close to home – asbestos awareness. Up until the mid-eighties, asbestos was commonly found in products including building materials, automotive and electrical products, fire resistant clothing, pipe lagging, insulation, adhesives and more. While it’s particularly relevant to those of us in the building industry, asbestos could affect anyone who has had any level of exposure to airborne fibres. With almost every home built or renovated before the mid-eighties likely to contain asbestos in one form or another, DIY homemakers and renovators are at risk of being exposed to particles in the course of their home maintenance or renovation routines. Burbank is committed to spreading the word and raising much needed funds to support asbestos awareness – but we need your help! We're accepting money donations ,gifts, goods and services, which can be raffled or auctioned off at our 120km bike ride and a 30km walk on November 19th. To make a donation, or find out how you can get involved, please contact Paul McWilliam on 0438 051 382 or email paulmc@burbank.com.au. If you are donating goods, please be sure to provide details including a description of the goods, the value of goods and any terms applicable. Thanks in advance for your support. With your help, we can make a difference. |
