Cake & Cards 2016

Story

Welcome to the Official Phoenix Trading page in support of Ovarian Cancer Australia.

Across the country, Phoenix Traders are organising Charity Cake & Cards events in support of Ovarian Cancer Australia. A fundraising host will organise a fun and informal gathering of friends and supporters and a Phoenix Trader will bring along their cards and stationery to sell. A donation from the sales of product and cakes etc. will be made to this worthwhile charity.

On top of the work done by our Independent Phoenix Traders, we, the company, will donate money from the sale of a special Charity Collection Card Box, before the end of June. Retailing at AU$26, we will donate AU$5.20 for each box sold.

This page is where Phoenix Traders, together with their customers and supporters, can come together to donate to Ovarian Cancer Australia.

Cake & Cards for Charity 2016

We would like to raise lots more money, building on past donations to support Ovarian Cancer Australia. We are hoping to add another $20,000 this year, including ‘off-line’donations (see explanation below), to the phenomenal amount of money raised as a result of Butterfly Tea Parties, Make Time in May, and charity Christmas Card donations made in previous years.

We'd love you to get involved! If you'd like to support this charity by holding a tea party of your own, please contact your local Trader, call our Customer Service Department on 03 90163223, or email us on infoanz@phoenix-trading.co.uk.

Thank you to the thousands of Traders, artists and customers who have been involved in this nationwide initiative in the past - your support has made a difference.

Ovarian Cancer Australia was founded by people directly affected by ovarian cancer, who wanted to raise awareness of the disease, educate Australian women about the early detection of ovarian cancer, and support those who had been affected. In Australia, four women are diagnosed with ovarian cancer every day - around 1400 women every year – and more than 1000 will die from the disease. Approximately 5% of women are diagnosed at an advanced stage, where the cancer has spread and is difficult to treat successfully. At the moment, only 43% of women with ovarian cancer will be alive five years later. If ovarian cancer is diagnosed at an early stage, women have an 80% chance of being alive and well after five years.
