Story
Hi there Friends and Family!
We were both born and raised in Australia, lived abroad for a number of years and have been travelling around the world over the last 12 years. We are currently in the midst of a Seven Summits quest, aiming to climb the highest peak on each continent. So far we have climbed Mount Kilimanjaro (5985m - Africa), Mount Elbrus (5642m - Europe), Carstensz Pyramid and Mount Kosciuskzo (4884m and 2228m respectively, Australasia), and are aiming to climb Mount Aconcagua (6960m) in January 2018.
During our travels we have visited many remote villages and communities that struggle day to day for the basic necessities of food, shelter and security let alone access to education. We believe that by making education available to communities it empowers the individual and provides them with opportunities in life similar to those that we take for granted. Whilst we chase our dream, summit by summit, we want to encourage help for others less fortunate so that they too can chase theirs.
We are raising funds for education programs in Nepal, these programs will train teachers and assist to develop a quality education system.

The Australian Himalayan Foundation is a not for profit charitable organization dedicated to helping the people of the Himalaya achieve their goals - through supporting and overseeing sustainable health, education and environmental projects in Nepal, India and Bhutan.
