Story

Kicking Breast Cancer's Arse

Initially, this half-marathon was just about kicking my arse..but after a kick-arse chick (who is also a good friend) was diagnosed with breast cancer I got mad. Really, really mad. angry

It's this anger that I am channelling when I am out in the wet, cold and dark training for my first half-marathon.

One of the main reasons I am angry is because there's not a damn thing I can do to help her fight this insipid disease - and that really sucks!!! sad

The best I can do is to help raise some money so that the McGrath Foundation can care for women who are suffering, but more importantly, fighting like hell to win the battle. enlightened

The McGrath Foundation was started by another kick-arse chick (who I also really admired) and her very supportive husband, who was not a bad cricketer from what I hear. wink
