Help Kawasaki Parents Take Flight!!

Story

I'm raising funds to help the Kawasaki Disease Foundation Australia coordinators and parent representatives get to Yokohama, Japan, where they have been invited to attend and do a presentation for “Progress & Harmony for Kawasaki Disease" - the 12th International Kawasaki Disease Symposium. These 4-day symposiums are held every 3 years and bring together researchers and medical specialists from around the world. They are a wonderful opportunity to network with other parent groups, meet researchers and hopefully Dr Kawasaki himself, who has just turned 93!

As a national, non-profit, parent-led charity, the KD Foundation Australia fully relies on private fundraising and donations.  Any contribution, big or small, will be greatly appreciated to assist with symposium registration costs, accommodation, and other related expenses of our parent representatives, to take up this amazing opportunity to gain more information and share ideas so we can continue helping to support others.

Kawasaki Disease is the leading cause of acquired childhood heart disease. The Kawasaki Disease Foundation Australia is dedicated to advancing Kawasaki Disease issues, and strives to raise awareness of this serious illness to increase early detection and treatment for children, including assistance with research studies. The KD Foundation Australia also provides much needed information and is a great support for affected families.

Donations made through this platform are secure and will be remitted directly through to the Kawasaki Disease Foundation Australia.  Donations over AUD $2.00 are tax deductible in Australia.

Thanks so much for your donation, we really appreciate your generosity and support!
