Please Speak Out About Cruelty to Animals Now Appeal
Story
We believe that all cruelty and violence against animals is indefensible. We believe it is important to speak out against all forms of cruelty including rodeo cruelty.
Events such as buckjumping and bull riding which rely on defenceless horses and cattle being provoked into wild behaviour in response to being bullied and tormented with devices such as spurs, flank ropes and electric prods is not family fun and entertainment. It is cruelty and violence against animals, and it is indefensible. A rodeo should not be included in the upcoming Lugarno Spring Fair hosted by Hurstville Council and Lugarno Lions.
Please help us to prevent rodeo cruelty at the Lugarno Spring Fair, by having your say on this Gofundraiser page and making a donation to our Please Speak Out About Cruelty to Animals Now Appeal. We plan on using the money raised to help cover advertisements speaking out about cruelty to animals, starting with the rodeo cruelty at the Lugarno Spring Fair. Sydney Pet Rescue & Adoption rescue and re-home companion animals from Death Row in pounds, and other homeless animals. We are committed to a 'No Kill' policy and keep the animals as long as necessary to find them a loving forever home. All of our rescued pets are desexed, vaccinated, vet checked, micro-chipped, flea'd and wormed. Sydney Pet Rescue & Adoption receive no government funding and are dependent on our own fundraising efforts and the generosity of the public, for donations. Donations are critical to our capacity to achieve our goal of saving as many abandoned pets as possible from Death Row, and finding them new loving, forever homes. Our pets are placed with loving foster families as we do not operate a shelter. We are a registered charity and a non-profit organisation.. Sydney Pet Rescue & Adoption also operate an Assisted Re-homing Program, offering people help to find a new loving home, as an option to surrendering to a pound or animal shelter where they would normally be at high risk of euthanasia. Sydney Pet Rescue & Adoption is committed to the promotion of responsible pet ownership, and the prevention of cruelty to animals. We can't do this without your help. Your donation will be gratefully received. New foster carers are always needed also. Thank you so much.
