RAISING FUNDS FOR REMOTE COMMUNITIES IN UPPER MUSTANG
RAISING FUNDS FOR REMOTE COMMUNITIES IN UPPER MUSTANG
Story
Hello dear friends,
In August 2019 we're trekking to Upper Mustang and plan to raise much needed funds primarily for a small and remote school in Chosar Village, near the Tibetan border.
OUR AIM is to, as a team, raise $8,000 to support the students' education by assisting with paying teachers' salaries for example. Funds raised also support a few other communities along the way, including a nunnery for young girls in Tsarang, and the Amchi (traditional Tibetan healing & medicine) Centre.
We're appealing to our friends & colleagues for support via our personal gofundraise page, attached to this team page (see below for links).
HOW CAN YOU HELP? By donating to this page and sharing on your social media (FB and Instagram) would be great. Education is the key to escaping the poverty trap and even the smallest donation makes an enormous difference.
OUR PLEDGE: Every dollar donated goes direct to the source. The World Expeditions Foundation doesn't take a percentage, and donations are tax deductible for Australian donors.
Thanks so much for your support and thank you to those who have supported this endeavour in the past. It really does make an enormous difference. For example last year we were able to provide every girl at the Tsarang nunnery with warm winter jackets. The largest donation went toward paying teacher salaries at the school to improve the quality of lessons.
Donations made through this platform are secure and will be remitted directly through to my charity of choice.

World Expeditions Foundation Ltd.
The World Expeditions Foundation (WEF) is the not-for-profit entity of the World Expeditions Travel Group.
It is the aim of the World Expeditions Travel Group to integrate ‘regenerative’ projects into every one of our global operations by 2030 and raise funds through the World Expeditions Foundation to support these projects. The aim of regeneration is to leave a place and its people better than when it was found; to ensure the resources we enjoy today will be available for the generations that follow. By harnessing the collective power of travellers, WEF proactively and intentionally supports regenerative projects that support communities and improves the natural state of the places we travel.
World Expeditions has pledge $5 to our Regenerative 2030 Project for every traveller that books with us.
