YPS TRYathon
YPS TRYathon
Story
Hi there!
The YPS TRYaton is a community challenge event that sees community members swim 300 laps of a 50m swimming pool (or swim 15klms all up) or walk 65klms or cycle 300klms over 3 months. You can choose to do just one of the activities, do a combination or be a TRYathlete & do all 3!
You can do the TRYathon activities in your own time- in one day, a weekend or take the whole 3 months- the choice is yours!
All money raised goes to support YP SPACE MNC to help support & resource children & young people (12 to 25 years) who are homeless in our community.
To take part in the YPS TRYathon please email deb@yps.org.au for a Registration form- everybody welcome.
Check out YPS website www.yps.org.au to find out more about what we do & how we support children & young people experiencing homelessness.
Donations made through this platform are secure and will be remitted directly through to YP SPACE MNC.
Thanks so much for your support!
YP SPACE MNC Incorporated
YP SPACE MNC (YPS) is a Not for Profit youth specialist homelessness service operating in Port Macquarie and Kempsey for over 32 years. YPS works with young people, aged 12 to 25 years, who are homeless or at risk of homelessness across our target LGAs. Their services are not just limited to providing a safe place for young people but a range of emotional, financial support including life skills to help these young people move into a positive future. The majority of young people YPS supports are experiencing homelessness due to domestic and family violence, child abuse and family breakdown. Young people accessing YPS services have generally experienced significant trauma in their lives and have developed survival skills that are perceived as negative and impacting on their health and wellbeing.
