A Shave to Remember

Story

While we aren’t scaling a mountain, we have put a lot of tender love, care & commitment into the fuzz that adorns our faces (well, some of us anyway) and have decided as a group to bear our pale chins to the winter winds for the first time in many years to collect donations for a very worthwhile cause.

It might shock you to learn that Dementia & Alzheimer’s Disease is the 2nd leading cause of death for Australian’s, and it is a disease that has impacted all of us tremendously both directly and indirectly.

On behalf of Dementia Australia, we are raising funds in memory of all those that have perished from this horrible disease. Please dig deep and contribute to help fund the critical research that is necessary to find a cure.

No contribution is too small and any donation over $2 is tax deductible.

We will update you all once the fuzz is no more!

Dementia Australia

Dementia Australia is a unified, national peak body for people, of all ages, living with all forms of dementia, and their families and carers. We provide advocacy, support services, education and information, as well as fundraise and facilitate research into dementia.

We aim to give people living with Dementia the respect they deserve and the support they need. We advocate to government and industry on behalf of people living with dementia, their carers and families and work hard to raise community awareness and understanding of dementia. Please visit www.dementia.org.au to access a wide range of resources and how to contact our National Dementia Helpline.

Community support through donations and sponsorship, as well as bequests, is vital to the continuation and growth of our work.
