Extended Families Community Walk
Extended Families Community Walk
Story
What a lovely day for a Community Fundraising Walk it was on Sunday at the Maribrynong River track. Donations are still coming in! Thank you to all walkers, their supporters including our Vietnamese community crew, The Good Guys Taylors Lakes and Chobani for the yummy yogurt and dips.
Well done to Julia Klieber and her team of supporters who raised over $1200 - fantastic effort by all. Thank you to the Committee of Management who coordinated the whole event.
Donations will help improve the lives of young people living with disabilities including expanding our ExtendABLE program and Vietnamese support programs in the West.
Donations will be received until April 30th 2016.
Extended Families Australia
Extended Families is a not-for-profit organisation operating in Melbourne and the Mornington Peninsula. We facilitate positive connections in the community for children (and young people) with a disability and provide support to their families - We believe everyone deserves a life full of friendship and fun! We seeks to widen social networks, empower individuals, promote inclusion and strengthen the bonds people have within their local area. Children and families who are supported by us have access to a wide range of flexible support and programs including individualised volunteer matching program for social, recreational and respite support; play groups; friendship groups for parent / carer peer support and a range of social events. Our social events and programs focus on introducing children and their families to new activities, experience, develop new skills and most importantly having fun!
