Story
HELP ME RAISE AWARENESS AND FUNDS TO SUPPORT FRIENDS OF THE HOUND - GREYHOUND ADOPTION GROUP. Much help is needed to save Greyhounds.
For Greyhounds it is the QUICK or the DEAD ... they literally run for their lives. Sadly 20,000 Greyhound are bred in Australia every year with most being killed because they are too slow.
Over the course of the next 12 months I will be taking part in various physically challenging events that will put me to the test. Thankfully I won't be killed for running too slow.
In September I ran 9km at the Sydney Running Festival and raised $530. My next run is 10km at the Central Coast Half Marathon. My ultimate goal is to raise $2500 and run the Half Marathon at the Gold Coast Marathon in July 2012. Please help me acheive it by donating and/or spreading the word.

Friends of the Hound are a not-for-profit, volunteer-based group dedicated to Greyhound welfare. The organisation rescues Greyhounds and rehomes them as family pets and companions. Money raised goes towards rescuing and caring for the dogs, and placing them into suitable homes. Friends of the Hound Inc. work tirelessly to promote the breed as pets, dispel the misconceptions and raise public awareness about the plight of Greyhounds.

Friends of the Hound Inc.
Friends of the Hound Inc. is a not-for-profit, volunteer based association dedicated to the welfare of Greyhounds. The group’s mission is to save the lives of Greyhounds and reduce the mass wastage that currently occurs due to a commercial racing and gambling industry. Greyhounds make great pets, and these gentle, friendly, affectionate dogs have perfect potential for suburban homes and families suffer from wide misconceptions and face exploitation and destruction in vast numbers.
