Connecting Hands limited
Connecting Hands is an Australian based not for profit charity supporting young women & children who have been sold & trafficked into sexual slavery in Cambodia.
Our hope is that one day we see the abolishment of modern day slavery, have the means to stop perpetrators and free the many young and innocent lives that are exploited every day.
We are committed to forcing sex slavery out of the shadows and shining a spotlight on this horrendous crime.
Connecting Hands works towards alleviating the impact of sexual slavery by providing young women and children who have been rescued from such terrible acts a more sustainable and brighter future as they face a life free from slavery.
Sex Trafficking is the buying and selling of women and children who are forced or coerced into commercial prostitution against their will. Human Trafficking is a crime against humanity. It involves the act of recruiting, transporting, transferring, harboring or receiving a person by force, coercion or other violent means, for the purpose of exploiting them. Victims are found in various industries with a major focus on the sex industry. Every year thousands of women and children fall into the hands of traffickers, in their home countries and abroad.
Victims of trafficking are subject to abuse in the worst forms of physical violence, sexual assault, threats to family members, torture & emotional abuse. Sadly too many of these victims are young women & children.
Our hope is that one day we see the abolishment of modern day slavery, have the means to stop perpetrators and free the many young and innocent lives that are exploited every day.
Freedom is a basic human right and slavery is one of the greatest threats to that freedom. No one has the right to sell or enslave another person.
