Nga Do - Extended Families Community Walk
Nga Do - Extended Families Community Walk
Story
Hi there!
I'm making a difference and walking for a cause that's close to my heart, the Vietnamese Families with Special Needs Inc, which is being supported by Extended Families Australia. I know first-hand the value and importance of this work, with weekly parent support meetings and a range of other children’s and family events that reduce isolation and provide education and support for families who have a child with a disability. Activities also help children with a disability builds skills and participate in our community.
We all have different challenges. I have set myself the goal to walk at least 8 kms.
I’d appreciate any contribution, big or small; or come and join me on Sunday 17 April 2016.
Donations made through this platform are secure and will be remitted directly through to my charity of choice.
Thanks so much for your support!

Extended Families is a not-for-profit organisation operating in Melbourne and the Mornington Peninsula. We facilitate positive connections in the community for children (and young people) with a disability and provide support to their families - We believe everyone deserves a life full of friendship and fun! We seeks to widen social networks, empower individuals, promote inclusion and strengthen the bonds people have within their local area. Children and families who are supported by us have access to a wide range of flexible support and programs including individualised volunteer matching program for social, recreational and respite support; play groups; friendship groups for parent / carer peer support and a range of social events. Our social events and programs focus on introducing children and their families to new activities, experience, develop new skills and most importantly having fun!
