Story
Hi everyone,
I'm sleeping rough (outside in the open on a piece of cardboard) to raise awareness of homelessness and raise essential funds to keep the doors wide open at Rough Edges in Darlinghurst. Open 5 nights and 2 days a week, Roughies is run by a dedicated team of volunteers who care for the marginalised and disadvantaged in our community. "Sleep Rough Help the Homeless" is on Friday 20th October. It's a cause that's close to my heart. If you've ever walked past a homeless person and felt compassion in your heart but didn't know how to help - here's your chance to help in a very practical way. I’d appreciate any contribution, big or small.
Donations made through this platform are secure and will be remitted directly through to my charity of choice.

St John's Community Services Limited (Rough Edges)
St John's Community Services Limited was established to fund and maintain a number of targeted services for the disadvantaged and marginalised in the Darlinghurst and Kings Cross area. Including:
Rough Edges Cafe -a place for the street community to have a coffee, enjoy a free meal and spend time together in a safe and welcoming environment
Banksia Women - a safe, judgement free space for women who have experienced domestic and family violence
St Johns Legal Service - we contract a solicitor to assist those needing help with free legal services and referrals.
